You guys must be paid by Hoyer. Hoerner was a .240 hitter, with no pop, until the Cubs were out of it. He hit his ceiling in '23. Shaw would be rotting at AAA next year with a bigger bat the Cubs sorely need in the lineup. He needs to play every day at 2B or also trade Paredes and stick Shaw at 3B. Hoerner has more value to the Cubs as part of a trade package with prospects (Alcantara, Caissie) for a TOR from Seattle or Vlad.

The issue is that the argument for Nico Hoerner is the same argument for the rest of our "nice" players. And thus getting trapped into saying "we can only upgrade at 3B and maybe C". And thus running out the same 83-79 team and hoping "third time's the charm".

We needed more production at 3rd and catcher, and a closer. Do that and we’re probably in the playoffs with the rest of the lineup intact. Add a full season of PCA and either get better play out of Parades and Amaya or move them. Trade Parades and prospects for a closer and put Shaw at third; can’t do any worse than what we’ve had there. That would be a start.

TBH cubs should sign Alonzo and bregman screw paredez and bush let them sit on the bench or trade them idc at this point we dont have a true core time to buy one yes they are older but with the other guys we have ithink we can make a real push with this two on our teams add a true ace and this is a dangerous team spend the money !!!!!

I know you guys mostly hate my angry rants so this will be the last one. Our World Championship Team and our boys have been dishonored and disrespected too far for me. We would be where the Mets are today with our true leader David Ross in charge. The worst person in sports, jed hoyer, has shamed our team and trashed our legacy and the culture I grew up with. I'll keep the memories and draw the line here. Our boys did it and were on the way to doing it again. We were loveable losers my whole childhood, then we got close and started to break that mold. Then eventually our team got there and they did it. It's a real shame that hoyer was left in charge. I'm very sad and hurt, I will miss wrigley Field so much. No more waiting outside for players to walk by and my quest to get a piece of the ivy to cover my house with is over. Maybe sometime in the future after hoyer is gone I can return. Once the curse of jed hoyer has been broken. I'll see if Ross gets a team and see how I feel about them and I'll weatch mexican baseball. Thank you all for your loyalty and I understand. But my loyalty is to our guys who did the impossible for us. Most of you won't get it and I'm ok with that. Best of luck to you all.
