When you play put difficulty on all star. It’s great practice if want to play online. You won’t be ready playing on anything less.

Here's how you fix it: Go into Custom Practice for batting. Note that you can customize the pitches and the directions that you swing at. So just pick pitchers who have the most pitches in their bag and let them throw at you without you swinging. LEARN THE BALL PATHS. Once you see how the pitches come in, then you start trying to swing at them. It's really about hand eye coordination, even if you're just playing a video game. One of the reasons I love this game is that it is hard, because it requires you to learn, just like you would need to learn actual baseball. I know it sounds dumb for a game that's supposed to be fun, but if you're not taking in batting practice at least three times a week until you get used to the game, you will almost always be frustrated. How do you when fielding throw to the person in between you and the base you want to throw too so if getting the ball in RF and not have to fully throw from there to 2nd I never make it in time I’m so new to this game

You hold l1 on ps4 or ps5 to do a cut off throw. I only play the game on my Playstation, but I'm guessing the button for the other consoles would probably be the left bumper too.

This is a game that I always knew of, especially since the graphics were always better than most of the other games out at the time. Especially during the PlayStation 3 era. But I never had a interest playing this game. Always seemed boring and very difficult, I think you’d def have to be a hardcore baseball fan to like this game.
