That’s the opinion I’ve had the past 45 years of my life, but I’m going to be honest overall the game used to be a lot better in the 1980’s and 1990’s imo. MLB used to be better when starters used to complete 10 to 20 games a year. Times when you used to anticipate a starter throwing a shutout, perfect game, or no hitter. Game was also so much better when we used to have real baseball in extra innings, now we have this cheap softball era extra inning type games now. I do like the pitch clock and the two attempts of picking off runners rules now, those are the only two improvements I’ve seen from the baseball that got me hooked back in the 1980’s.

That is Tom Hamilton, long time Cleveland radio announcer, one of the best in the business. It was a loss, but credit to the Rays. All Cleveland really needs from this four game series is a split.

Guards have to have the most losses to sub .500 teams of the best record in mlb. It is the sole reason why they are not the #1 overall record. I get coming off a long road trip with no day off but the fans show out and you lose to the Ray's? Unserious.

I love the crowd size for a first place team. Either baseball is a dying sport or the Cleveland fans aren't in love with this franchise or Cleveland fans know that they're just not that good. Or maybe all of the above.

@@ArticleReaderRandy yeah, OK. At one time they filled that ballpark every freaking night with no exception. And the park had a higher capacity back then as well. This is a first place team trying to make the post season and the ballpark was half empty. That wasn't because it was Thursday night.

This Guardian batting line up are so bad they couldn't hit a ball off a T ball. They are so below par. The pitchers couldn't hit a bar door from 2 feet. Guardian's are rubbish.

Damn, another disappointing game from Cleveland SP Gavin Williams and the defense late in the game, not to mention, only 2 runs of support by the offense. Very Disappointing.
