how am i not suprised anymore... atlanta gets 2 runs off a rookie pitcher, and it was only cause of HR shots, no small ball scoring, and scored 3 runs all game, ehh whatever..

Not surprised anymore either. Just awful. Unacceptable to be in second place. Lost by an entire run. It's like they're not even trying. Probably the worst team in history.

What an amazing game and congratulations to Birdsong on his first career win!! Can't believe we beat an intense team and let's hope for a win tomorrow 7/3 and hope Hicks has it! Can't believe how amazing Birdsong did by pitching through 6 innings and threw 87 pitches! Let's hope he gets better and better! Go Giants and what a game!!

Braves had men on 2B and 3B with 1 out, didn't score. Kelenic struck out swinging at the same pitch (ball almost on the ground) 3 times on consecutive pitches. It's not rocket science: if you keep swinging, the pitcher will probably keep throwing that same pitch. Next inning, Giants had a man on 3B with 1 out and they scored. That's when I turned the TV off. Hopefully, Sale will get some run support today because his last time out his team did not show up.

Austin Riley hitting a HR in the 2nd inning and making an error at 3rd a few innings later is like the cow that gave you a bucket of milk and kicked the bucket over a moment later that caused a run, fortunately he very seldom makes these errors.

Less than 5% of 3B would have made that play. It shouldn't have been an error at all if you consider where he was playing and how hard the ball was hit.

I’m not saying this concept changes the outcome of the game… but Lopez was way overdone after 4 innings. He is starting to look like a pitcher that has not started this many games in quite some time. To start the year, he barely walked anyone. Now he is nearly 1-1 walk to k ratio in his last few starts. He got through 4 with 80+ pitches thrown. That should have been his night. Again, not saying it changes the outcome.

They are not playing small ball and the opposing teams, can sense that and play to the Braves’ weaknesses and they are refusing to change. It’s called reality, not being a real fan. You could be right, Sasha. This year could be like 2021. There is some optimism, but the way things are going right now, I doubt it, but we will wait and see.

Tough one, this felt like a game the braves were somewhat in control of but not really, offense overall did not have a great game. We have seen flashes of their 2023 selfs but it has been inconsistent unfortunately. Sale on the mound tomorrow. #ForTheA

He is our best reliever and you are compining to get rid of him. He pitched 43 games so far with 2.75 ERA and 13 total earned runs(6ERs in 2 bad games). He is on pace to 90 games this year. I would rather get rid of Luke Jackson first with his 3 BS and high ERA. They are all overused so far with 3 RPs pitched over 40 games, and 2 close to it.
