First time since October 1, 1991 that the Braves have come back to win a game where they were losing by at least 6 runs in the 1st inning. They beat the Reds 7-6 after the Reds took a 6-0 lead in the 1st.

Charlie Liebrandt gave up 6 in the first inning...Dave Justice with the go-ahead homer in the top of the 9th. The Dodgers lost to the Padres that night and that pulled the Braves even with LA with 3 games left to play. The Braves were home versus the last place Astros and LA had to go to Candlestick to play the Giants. I remember that game like it was yesterday. Terry Pendleton hit a huge 3-run homer to get the Braves back in the contest. Skip Caray's call of the Justice homer is iconic in Braves' history.

Braves came back from down 9-0 to the Nationals July 20th 2020. Braves score 4 in the top of the 6th and 4 more in the 8th before tacking on Winn the 9th to take the lead. Mats would tie it in the 9th, but Atlanta scored the winning run in the 11th to win 11-10. Braves came back from down 9-1 to the Reds May 20th 2020. Atlanta was down 8-0 after 2 innings and 9-1 in the 5th before scoring 2 in the bottom of the 5th and 7 in the bottom of the ninth to win 10-9. Brooks Conrad hit a grand slam and thought he’d flown out.

They have been racking up runs since day one but what is and should be scary to the rest of the league is it looks like Acuna and Riley are heating up. Be afraid, be very afraid! Gotta love the Dodgers fans, i've read a couple things posing the question of if the Dodgers can break the home run record. Using the logic of their hot start and adding Ohtani to the line up. They go adding his 44 homers to the mix like they didn't have a DH last season who hit 33. That's a whopping +11 there guys...Watch out lol. Nope the only team that could threaten that record is the one who tied it last year, this one. There isn't a more clutch 3-4-5 on any team in baseball. Give credit to the fans. Down 6-0 after 1. Down 8-2 in the 5th and no one left. They know what type of team this is.

Injuries add adversity & can create more motivation & if your gonna have injuries it's better early so the front office can find some replacements. No you can't find another Strider but with the Braves offense you don't need another Strider. Ian Anderson will get another shot & Brice Elder will be called up soon. Good thing is the Braves Bullpen is the best it's been in years.

You just hope that Fried and Strider are ok because that's two not so good outings from your top 2 in the rotation. Plus this team can't keep getting behind like they have in the last couple of games especially against good teams. So the starters are going to have to figure things out and go deeper into ball games because if they keep using the bullpen like they have. Well then the bullpen will be exhausted by the all-star break

@@bruin9507 Yea just in the last two outings Fried just hasn't pitched the way that we know he can pitch but you just hope that he's ok. It's not panic mode at the moment because you can move Sale into the top of the rotation and just slide all the others in the rotation up a notch. I mean Sale,Morton, and Lopez all looked really good in their first outings of the year but if Sale can pitch a good game tomorrow afternoon. It's not mentioned enough but yes they were down 6-0 after 1 inning but they were down 8-2 in the 5th ! All offseason and early this season all you hear about is the Dodgers. People crowning them already, people talking what records they will break, but they somehow forget this is the same team that lit up the league last year, breaking record after record and they only got better. Not many if any teams could do what the Braves did. On the heels of learning their co-ace (and was betting odds leader for NL Cy Young before the year) appears down for awhile, their other ace who has been as dominant as any pitcher over the last 4 years gets rocked again in the 1st inning yet they never even thought about packing it in. Max Fried certainly didn't. Not many pitchers would not only be able to but would want to continue on in a game after that. He could have easily called it a night, not risked his ERA and said he'd try again next time but nope. He gave them nearly another 4 scoreless innings after they batted around and scored 6 in the 1st. Along with the bullpen later giving this historic offense time to go to work. Even the high and mighty Dodgers lineup cant compare 1-9 to the Braves. After this was and is still the same offense that tied* the season HR record last year and became the only team to ever slug .500 in a season (a slugging percentage by the way only a very small number of the very best players in baseball did last year individually let alone as a whole team) (* because let's be honest the 4 previous highest totals were all set the same year 2019 the juiced ball year before that no team had even cracked 280!) This lineup never quits and I'm not positive Marcell Ozuna even has a pulse. So yeah the Diamondbacks (the NL pennant winner last year) again just looked shell shocked (reminds me of the cubs late last year) when the Braves did the same to them late..

Dbacks fan here. and you see the boys were confused bc they believed that the game ended in the 6th so let’s chalk it up to a misunderstanding

The Braves are impressive 😎 as a dodgers fan I guess the boys in blue will have to return the favor and sweep the Phillies

That’s all the way in July. The “so tough, gritty and blue collar” Phillies huh. Don’t break them too bad, we still want that Philadelphia hubris to be there for when we play them. The Braves will be the ones to break their will and have them questioning why they even play baseball.
