😂Lived in Chicago. Lived near Atlanta. Been to Wrigley and even old Fulton County Stadium. This match up is always bittersweet either way it goes but I have to say, it certainly was torture. I thought I was watching an alternate universe version of the Braves.

For any Cubs fans curious about the lack of Braves TV coverage (not that they had much to cover from this game, they only used the radio broadcast for the few Braves hits) they had Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Jeff Francouer, and Tom Glavine in the broadcast booth and they more or less ignored the entire game. It seemed more like listening to an unrelated podcast. Im not complaining, i just wish it could’ve been on a winning night, last year they did the same thing and it was hilarious (and the Braves had an epic game).

It’s pretty incredible… When you look at Assad, without his uniform, he doesn’t look like a baseball player I mean he honestly looks like some ITI, he would look more at home with some Google credentials around his neck. And I think that’s awesome, someone you do not expect to be this good as a starting picture when he was pretty much unknown and to have such a good experience so far as a starting picture is really cool. I hope he keeps it up because he’s got such good stuff, great movement, you don’t need to throw 99 miles an hour you just need that ball to go where it needs to go, control, movement and changing speeds.

Not a great game for the braves but still you will take 2 of 3 for sure. This game obviously the offense had trouble and the pitching wasn’t as good but still for the most part the pitching has been excellent over this past stretch, hoping offense though gets to find themselves and gets hot like the offense we know. Still a good series win, now san diego visits this weekend. #ForTheA

When the media starts talking about the Cubs offense struggling… It’s not always the offense, sometimes they hit the ball hard but out, sometimes they face really great pitching so you really can’t blame the offense, sometimes you have to give credit to the other guys. The Cubs have been consistent so far, hitting the ball opposite field, getting on base via the walk or single, but sometimes they struggle with good pitching or just bad luck. just like other teams..I’m worried about having a consistent closer because Alzolay is sometimes OK, but other times even if he gets out of the game the ball is still hit pretty hard, luckily it’s to someone to make the out but I don’t like seeing other teams hitting the ball hard and depending on luck to get out of the game. They need to find a legitimate closer closerbecause their bullpen can be iffy sometimes. Maybe Mark Leiter Junior is a better option. They need to find someone and whether it’s in the minor leagues or trading for a legitimate veteran closer who doesn’t give up so many hard balls and bass hits at the end of the game.

ANOTHER Braves game where a lack of solid fundamentals cost us a win. I said it from the very first second it was announced that Ron Washington was leaving Atlanta; this team WILL SUFFER from a sharp decline in fundamentals in both fielding and hitting, and here we are again. Ron Washington should have been promoted to Manager and Brian SHITker should’ve been kicked to the curb.

I’m confused by that hit by pitcher? If a batter leans into a pitch and gets hit it does not count. But he squares up with his foot almost behind home plate and because he showed bunt it counts as a hit? Why not just bunt every time, square up too close to the plate and pull back and get hit every time?
