@drzalejandro7 The guy grew up idolizing Papi and Manny Ramirez and now has both telling him to sign with Boston. If the money is comparable to the Mets how does Soto say no?

@MihoyMinoy-si8fb. Exactly. Hes not saying no... It's not all just about money... what if he doesnt like NY? What if he enjoys playing alongside other Dominican players like he did in SD? Lot of variables come into play and the nitwits on TV think its just about money.
@MihoyMinoy-si8fb

@@drzalejandro7 The Sox have a million things to offer Soto besides money. The best farm system in the league. An already great line up of hitters. The perfect ballpark for Soto’s lefty bat. A rich history of winning World Series with other players from the Dominican Republic. The Sox are to Dominican players as the Dodgers are to Japanese players. They just want to sign there.

If he wins in Queens he will achieve baseball immortality. Mets fans will worship the ground he walks on for the rest of his life and he will be forever etched in Mets history so that 3 generations of Mets fans later will still talk about him. I went to games 1 and 2 in New York in 1998 but didn’t fly to San Diego because my fathers cancer was to advanced I went to all 4 games of 1999 all 5 of 2000 witch was a easy trip and an even easier series I went to the 3 New York games in 2001 went to 2 games of the 2002 ALDS went to all 6 games vs the marlins in 2003 went to that disaster in 2004 watched the angels win 11-7 in game 3 of 2005 went to game 1 in 2006 of the alds yankees won 8-4 never went to another game didn’t go to any game in 2007 i wasn’t living in New York that year same thing with 2008 and I went to all 15 games of the postseason in 2009 and that’s what true Yankees fans are we love the culture we built and the Mets should look up to the Yankees and pray that they can have 10% the success the Yankees have go to the Mets Yankees series in may I’ll be there see ya kid

Just as long as he doesn't sign with the Yanks. I can't stand his low class, bat flipping, chest pounding, self promoting act. That's one of the many reasons it's a pleasure to see Judge in pinstripes. He doesn't behave like a jerk. He hits more hr's than Soto ever will and does it with a BA over .300. He can also steal a base. Soto hits .280. And within a few years he'll be hitting .240, hearing boos and cynically laughing all the way to the bank and calling the team owners and the fans a bunch of "suckers".
@samsatchwill8228
@samsatchwill8228 Ай бұрын
You are the worst type of fan. You would rather lose with guys who show no personality than win with Soto just because he plays with some swagger. And who hit the home run that got the Yankees to the World Series? I'll give you a hint it wasn't Aaron Judge. Soto already has a ring. Judge NEEDS Soto if he wants to win not the other way around.
@Wildvideonyc
@Wildvideonyc Ай бұрын
@samsatchwill8228 No, I'm a fan who isn't so desperate I'd support wrecking the team financially for a one dimensional .280 hitter who pounds his chest and flips his bat when his team is down by 6 runs. That just makes a team look weak, as if they don't even expect to win. Resigning him does nothing to improve their lineup. It's just 600+M of status quo. ''Status quo" ain't gonna win no WS. The Yanks can use that money to fill out the lineup with guys who will total twice as many hr's and rbi's rather than over relying again on two players. That's how you build a championship lineup. And they can spend on pitching. Stifling opponent offenses is the other way a team wins. And those deals would all be for far fewer years than Don Juan Soto is demanding, allowing them to sign good players next year and in the future. It'll be even better when they get Lamahieu and Stanton's 116M off the damn payroll. And the worst kind of fans are the spoiled egotistical goons who boo their own players or think they're entitled to try and idiotically grab an opposing players glove or yank the ball out of his hand. Too many Yankee fans are just selfish and an embarrassment to most other Yankee fans and NYC as a whole.

@ramonalejandrosuare no, it's the fact the Yankees gave up all they did to get him and showed him nothing but praise and respect. It's the fact he showed no loyalty whatsoever. If the Mets traded for him and it was the Yankees that stole him away, I'd say the same exact thing. Once your THAT HIGH in earned money, to leave the team that showed you nothing but love and respect is wild to me. 700 million or 800 million don't matter. Once you're that high in numbers, you're still VERY WELL OFF and RICH, regardless. Expecting more is just greed and kind of gross. It shows a lot about him as a player and a man. It shows he dont hold many good qualities. In turn, I'm glad he left after learning who is to be completely honest. The Mets play the "throw all my money at them" kind of baseball, and the fans are quite crazy so he'll fit in better there, I'm sure. By all means, the Mets can have him. The Yankees are better off now, then if they signed him. It's obvious the Yankees needed more than just Soto. If they signed that deal, he would of took up all the money they had to spend. Basically, making whatever championship dreams go away quickly.
