As a Brewer fan this was an all time low. The Brewers were horrible and well on their way towards 56-106, then to add insult to injury it would figure that the all star game would be an epic disaster. Honestly Miller Park wasn't completely ready. They've added so much to the ball park since and the team is at least respectable now compared to then. I really wish Selig wasn't so impatient and waited until the team was sold before hosting the All Star game. Miller Park hosting an All Star game today would be sooo much better now.

***** Oh look, another bombastic You Tube bully hiding behind his Mom's computer. Making ass-hole comments to get a rise out of people, in order to make himself feel better about himself. What a sad life you must live, having to lash out at other fan bases because it's the only thing keeping you from killing yourself. Get a life buddy. If you claim you do. I feel sorry for those who are a part of it. Miller Park doesn't suck and neither does Busch. The Brewers don't suck and neither do the Cardinals. The Milwaukee Chokers don't exist but the Milwaukee Brewers do. There's respectful Cardinal fans and there's respectful Brewer fans who have class and sportsmanship. Then there's the losers who don't know how to act. Your comment solidifies you as one of the losers who probably should grow up a little bit.

Wow, I'm actually not mad at all. I was talking about fan behavior, not the Brewers. Fans are not a part of the organization, and yes I do agree. Morgan was a complete cancer POS and ruined 2011's run, Braun is a complete douche bag, and Gomez has the baseball IQ of a chimp. He swings at everything! I agree completely a hundred percent on that. Btw, Lucroy didn't make that video, FSN WI did and it was in bad taste. I agree with you on that. Molina is a great catcher. Oh and the mascot slides onto a balcony below, not into a cup of milk. It used to be a beer mug at County Stadium. Don't you like beer? Besides, I can care less about stupid Bernie Brewer and the sausage race. I agree it's dumb. Oh and none of the Brewers players are from WI for the most part. Wisconsin is actually a beautiful state, so is Missouri. Been to both.

I've been a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers my entire life. My Dad took me to see my first Brewers game in 1976 or 77. Milwaukee County 🏟Stadium🏟 was massive to a 9 year old kid. I don't remember the specifics, except that I was fascinated by the game. My Dad had signed me up for Little League Baseball that summer. From that moment on, I was a Baseball fan, and I still am. Sadly I had just moved from Milwaukee before this game happened. I would have loved to have been in attendance. I wasn't too thrilled with how it ended however, but it was what was.

@1981lashlarue8 жыл бұрын
I am no Selig fan. I think he is arguably the worst commissioner ever with only Buhie Khun being his revival. I can't stand virtually anything he did as commissioner. That being said... I never understood the blame he got for this. What was he supposed to do? The managers came to him with a dilemma as they ran out of pitchers. If there is any blame to pass around it should be to the managers because in a game where they have rosters with more than 30 players, there is no rhyme or reason why they should ever run out of players in that situation. Especially if it's s a close game, you hold some back just in case it goes into extra innings. The managers with this modern, dumb philosophy of "we have to get everybody into the game" is the culprit, not Bud Selig. It's probably the only time I've defended Selig and the only occasion I think of where he got blamed for something I don't think was his fault.
@JayTemple8 жыл бұрын
I agree that they are the original problem, but I think the solution was to make them play the game with the people who were left.
@1981lashlarue8 жыл бұрын
Well, that would have taken the heat off the managers if it was the commissioner that forced the game to continue I suppose. The other problem was that both teams were down to their last pitchers and both Garcia and Padilla had pitched two innings and both would have been maxed out under the rules by the next inning. I suppose both teams could have resorted to fielders going to the mound to pitch, but I don't think fans would have liked that in the All Star Game either. The other potential backlash would have been if the teams resorted to something like that and somebody got injured pitching. Perhaps the Commissioner would have the authority to suspend the rules and allow Padilla and Garcia to go past three innings? No matter what the scenario, it just seemed like a lose-lose. I understand and respect your opinion though. It's always good to debate these interesting questions. The one thing I will say is that while I think Selig unduly got a little too much heat for this, I do think he handled it poorly even though I agree with his final decision. He could have and should have handled it much better than merely having the PA announcer abruptly announce that the game will end in a tie if no one scores. If you're going to make an unprecedented decision like that, at least explain yourself to the masses that paid top dollar for those seats expecting to see the game to a conclusion. In typical Selig fashion, even if he makes a good decision, he mishandles the execution of it. He owed more to the fans that what he gave them. Just my .02.
