Bichette Guerrero Santander Alonso Varsho Springer Wagner Kirk Gimenez George cant hit leadoff any more. Varhso is better than 9 hole and 5-6 hole is actually the best spot for speed by analytics. You want switch hitting Santander splitting up Vlad and Pete.

I still just can’t envision the Jays finishing anything higher than 3rd in the division. Can that be good enough to sneak in the wild card? Maybe. But even if they get into the wild card it’s hard to imagine they go further than that

No lefty starter, no catcher who can catch the 50-60 games Kirk can't (if he stays healthy all year for once), still short a bat, a lot of older, declining players (Springer, Bassitt, Gausman, Scherzer) who are all up after 2025 or 2026....oh and Vlad and Bo are both entering their last year. I really hope they add more and go for it this year because after 2025, things start to look bleak. If we had a good system to bring in the next wave that would be something, but we have a middling prospect pool, too.

Why lol? He's been very durable throughout his career, pitching over 145 innings every year going all the way back to 2009, except for last year. I wouldn't be shocked either way - we could get 40 innings out of him, or we could get 140. That's just the type of pitcher he is at this point - an injury prone 40-year-old who still has good stuff and swing-and-miss ability.
