dropping straight gems! Players, If you struggle with making contact or rolling over, what this man just said could be all you need... "resisting rotation and the temptation to turn to the ball side"

I am surprised Berkman isn't in the Hall. He had an excellent career.

This SOB had amazing AB, OBP, and OPS in regular season. In the post season, he went up in all 3 categories. This guy's bat in Cooperstown should be in a case that reads, "Break glass in case of postseason nuclear warfare."

I always tried being a switch hitter. Always had more power from the left but my highschool coaches hated it lol

DeRosa does not know how to teach hitting. He hasn't demonstrated that he understands the most important fundamentals of what makes a good swing.

That’s why he was a mediocre ball player lol. He had his stints, but the old school mind set of only “swinging down on the ball” does not translate well to offensive production. There’s still room for guys like Derosa in today’s game though, with out guys like him, everything would be new age saabermetrics stuff and it’d get really boring to watch. Just my opinion though.

@@G-FORTY7 there are countless hall of famers that thought swing down on the ball including gary sheffield lol

But they never actually swung down. And derosa was great enough to be a mlb vet
