I don't think Aliens want to mess with Ohtani, he might hit their ship down with a baseball.

I have been reading up on this guy and the level of commitment to being the best player is unparalleled. He has been playing and practicing baseball since he was, basically, a child. Since he is a pitcher and a hitter he puts in the same amount of work for each position that the other players do. So he works twice as hard! It shows as he is at the top of both positions! When he was starting out in Japan NPB he would stay at the "rookie" complex which is within walking distance of their training facilities. Even after his first year he stayed there even though he was no longer a rookie. He actually wasn't required to stay there. He would rather dedicate himself. Once his coach in Japan was asked what the most impressive thing was about Shohei? His response "his personality". He said he is simply the most well rounded nicest human being he has ever met!! Considering his immense baseball talent, that speaks volumes about Shohei, the man!!! There is also a viral clip showing a home run that went through the roof of the Tokyo Dome. Yeh that was Shohei.

Every single professional athlete that has ever existed is what happens when talent meets dedication. What separates Ohtani is all talent. Plenty of guys are as dedicated or more than he is the just don't have the talent.

If you think about it... a team acquiring shohei would have been like when the Yankees signed mark teixeira and cc sabathia in the same offseason but with even better numbers
@feynmanschwingere_mc2270 Жыл бұрын
Ichiro and Ohtani are BOTH levels ABOVE both!!!!!!! They played against the BEST ATHLETES in the WORLD, Cobb and Ruth DID NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, lets be real, how many actual games of Ruth or Cobb have you actually sat down and watched rather than parrot nonsense you've read? You'll notice 88 mph fastballs which would be shish kabob in todays game. Sorry but the standard of play back in the 20s was INFERIOR to today - objectively.
@YK_Paul-J Жыл бұрын
Ichiro's career ops is .807 and he has never exceeded 70 RBIs. Ty Cobb has .945 career ops and has had 127 RBIs in a season. In addition, Japan's professional baseball performance should not be counted. In other words, Ty Cobb is far superior. In Ohtani's case, the MLB he's in now has blacks and Hispanics, pitchers who can throw 100 miles (he can pitch himself), and he's not playing plumbers or electricians. In other words, Ohtani is far superior.

@onlydbrasko Жыл бұрын
@@phillipsestrada2539 Based on dumb Yankees logic, Judge can rob HRs but Ohtani's 200+ strikeouts don't. Therefore, Judge is better lol

Assuming it wasn't ball lightning, what she described is known as an orb. Blue is most dangerous, as they are associated with abductions. And assuming, Shohei does not have a dropoff in production, I think he will get even better, greatest of all time. Proper context, he only needed the rest of his team for defense in the shutout.
@feynmanschwingere_mc2270 Жыл бұрын

in whatever sport successful athletes usually spend money on expensive clothes, cars, houses and date with beautiful women. Ohtani has no interest in these things. He just eats, sleeps, and plays baseball. He is satisfied only when he can play well and his team wins.
