Thats great man, im from South Africa. Grew up with the sport, love baseball aswell (used to play it when I was in school) and I used to watch it a little growing up. The 50 over World (odi) is later this year. You should check it out for some high skill level cricket. This tournament was really enjoyable to watch & I hope that more people get to know and learn about the game in the U.S. Its a great game!

Even the better team loses after many attempts not getting converted to goals and loose on penalty shoot out thats totally on fate and luck but cricket is not like that the better performing team only wins. No score in the board even after 90 mins is bored

When on earth did they start a cricket league in the US? Interesting. What channel are these matches on? The only cricket related channel we have in the US carried on cable or streaming with extra sports packages is "willow" which shows mostly international test, odis and caribbean t20 in august. Like this league, willow mostly appeals to the large indian, pakistani and fmr. british empire diasporas scattered over the country as virtually all the commercials are about indian tea or sending money to india lol. Being from the US and mostly an MLB/NHL/NFL person, one day I accidently stumbled across willow coverage of a t20 match about 8-9 years ago and took a big liking to the sport self learning through context of watching enough of it and the excellent commentary on many cricket broadcasts. Jomboy's cricket breakdowns has recently renewed my interest in the sport again. Wish I could have played it when I was a kid in the 90s and but there was no such thing as youth leagues let alone pro leagues in the US given cricket being a british sport. With the large immigrant communities from the asia subcontinent they'll probably do fairly well here if they keep it to 1 site tournament formats twice a month or so. I hope this doesn't kill the caribbean league!

I think West Indies and USA will benefit from each other going forward. West Indians can teach the Americans the art of the sport. And WI can utilise the modern training facilities of the USA.
