Shifter Cable Broke.. you can pop the cowling and remove the cable from the shifter-- then you can push it forward, neutral and reverse with your hand.. but you have to remove the cable from the handle inside the motor

These new 4 strokes have some kind of electronic shifting so that isn’t possible

It wasn’t actually the cable that was broken. It was the shift actuator
