MLK day railfanning at Oceanside Transit Center

It was the last day of winter break for me before going back to school for the spring semester, and I didn't really have anything to do, so I headed out to Oceanside on an overcast Martin Luther King Day for some Amtrak, Coaster, Metrolink, and Sprinter action. I was joined by my friend Nathan Wasserman, who you can find on Instagram @carfan_railfan. I had also invited TRANSITFAN and RAILFAN, mrtrainz14, and my good friend Bryson but none of them could make it. It was all good though since Nathan and I kind of wanted the day to just the two of us. Here are the trains we caught
Train 1: Amtrak 572 with SC-44 2121 and cab car 6905
Train 2: Amtrak 777 with cab car 6906 and SC-44 2120. Cool engineer on this train!!
Train 3: Westbound Sprinter
Train 4: Eastbound Sprinter
Train 5: Coaster 645 with F59PHI 3002 and cab car 2303
Train 6: Westbound Sprinter races 645 into the station
Train 7: Amtrak 774 with P40DC 818 and P42DC 163
Train 8: Amtrak 579 with cab car 6953 and SC-44 2114
Train 9: Coaster 654 with cab car 2303 and F59PHI 3002
Train 10: Metrolink 815 with cab car 673 and F125 930. This train deadheaded south to Escondido Junction after dropping off all of its passengers but I forgot to include the video in this
Train 11: Metrolink 641 with cab car 683, MP36PH3-C 896 and F125 938
Train 12: Amtrak 578 with SC-44 2109 and NPCU 90278
I stayed in Oceanside until around 6, but my friend Noah who is a professional photographer came by to hang out with us. He showed up shortly after 578 left and we went to Jersey Mike's for lunch. When we returned, I did not return to get the rest of my equipment because I was mainly focused on just taking pictures after that. Noah helped me out with my Nikon D3500 DSLR and gave Nathan some pointers on his DSLR camera as well. Shout out to Noah for coming out to kick it with us!
