The success ratio of network marketing is 1/100. 90% work very hard and the ones on top of the pyramid earns well. Best time to join an MLM company is when the company starts in a place ( in any new state of India). Those who join initially make good money. Other options to start a business are: Learn the following skills: 1)Digital marketing. 2) Copywriting 3)Art of selling and closing a sales deal 4) Stock trading Etc. 3 things to check while joining an MLM 1)History of the company 2) Product/service 3) Return on investment.(Join generation plan/ linear plan) Check these in the same chronological order. Usually people do the opposite(3-->2-->1). Another *important* thing is to look for the *age* of the company:- #1-2years( *Survival stage* ) #2-7years( *formulation stage* ) #7-15 years( *explosion stage* ) #15+ ( *matured phase/stable state* ) So, it is better to join a company during its 7-15 years(explosion stage) of age. So we get the return on investment faster than a company in the matured phase. Companies like Amway, herbal life, FLP, etc, has reached the saturation level. These companies are growing but at a very slow rate because they are in the matured phase. Products of Amway, FLP are very good but is very expensive because the manufacturing takes place outside India and the *import and transporting charges* get added on to it. *Majority* of these products are bought by *only the members* of the chain or the ones who join the company/ *new recruits*. These products can only be afforded by "Classes" of the population. *Majority of the sales and profit comes from the usage of the members only.* Whatever we do in life, we invest our time/money or maybe both, so always make sure to take the return on the investment :- So, it is better to join any Indian MLM which is ◾ *7-15th year old* (explosion stage). ◾ *good product* (health and wellness industry preferred). ◾ *adequate pricing* so as to focus on the *masses* of the population and because *people outside the chain* can also buy/afford it. ◾ *linear/generation plan*. In India, the unemployment rate is at its peak in the year 2017-18. So direct selling company is at the booming stage. Another suggestion is, If you are planning to work in an MLM, learn the Business model of any MLM company, learn some skills on selling, presentation, leadership, etc and start an MLM company of your own. Always do your research, usually, MLM companies trap people by showing end results like Cars, BIG paychecks, etc. Don't fall for these because very few people own these compared to the total number of members in the company i.e, people on top of the chain. Even some companies claim they have 1Cr, 2Cr members, etc, what this means is that 1 Cr people had joined but only less than 10 lakhs IDs are active. Network marketing is *not* a get rich quick scheme. To see good results, one needs to invest at least 2-3years to get good result. Majority of the entrepreneurs are against MLM because they do the research. They mostly prefer to start their own MLM companies rather than joining one. I personally did my research for the last 1 year.

The person who approached me for the Amway MLM networking gave a honest feedback that it is not a get rich quick thing. It does require a lot of hardwork as well. Many people who do succeed in it take more than 1 year to get the state of getting passive Income. I feel when we work in a normal company we do put a lot of hard work but the returns are not that great as compared to you can expect in MLM or network marketing.This is my point of view.

MLM is a business where your investment is minimum. So basically unless and until your clientele is big enough to generate a reasonable turnover you won't make passive income. The faster you are able to reach that level the faster you'll start generating passive income. Time is never a factor, effort is. If you're not putting enough effort you can't make any income even if you spend a lifetime. As there is no risk or money loss people fail to put enough effort and then ultimately blame the concept.

One should understand MLM business way is not bad, it is one of most hard working platform to work, however the returns are based on your efforts and sincerity. There are companies who is working as a team, try to be a part of that once you completely trained you can take care of yourself. In the beginning you should work and close the deals with your experienced uplines. Dont ever ever say anyone that it is easy money or any wrong information. Make them completely understand and let them be convinced and take further otherwise these kind of bad remarks will flow in the market. As shareeq said if you are prepared to work hard and sincere then take up the opportunity not just for easy money.

Infact in both ponzi and pyramid schemes existing members make money from new people joined. Only difference in ponzi scheme is existing members are not aware on this as they feel that they get money from the overall business returns .. But in pyramid schemes existing members knows that they make money from new members investments.
