As a bi man, i'm kinda dissapointed by the lack of mlm representation compared to wlw representation in cartoons..... Like, People can name half a dozen of wlw couples in cartoons(Lumity, Catradora, Korrasami etc.) but barely any mlm couples, if ANY. EDIT: this is probably the most liked comment i've ever posted.

It's probably becasue some people still consider gay relationships as hypersexual and think it's not good for kids to see this. That is why there are more adult gays compared to young ones. And gays are usually fetishaized in anime, manga and fanfictions... Also two girls holding hands can mean just friends and two boys holding hands is mostly seen as gay so it's easier to censor lesbians and say that they are like sisters/friends So it's a huge problem : /

I agree so much. I finished The Owl House recently and thought wow it'd be nice to get a cartoon that's genuinely really good with a well written mlm romance with the main character but it just, doesn't exist for the most part.

@@Cat10122 The creators of Voltron killed off their gay characters, the LGBT+ community got rightfully angry considering they were contributing to the "bury your gays" trope, the crew blamed Dreamworks, and then Dreamworks basically responded with "lol no these guys suck". They wanted praise and awards for a victory they had no goddamn business claiming and tried to blame other people for something that is 100% their fault
