Mlock or pic rail, ris3 vs ris2

I have the RIS2 on an M4A1 DMR build. Honestly, the quad rail is superior in every way especially for mounting lights, and bipods, etc. I put magpul XTM panels on every part I don’t have an accessory and it is the most comfortable rifle I have ever held. That all being said I think I may get a RIS3 in a 13” length one day. The only reason why is I plan on doing competitions when I can afford ammo. Economy is hard right now and I have a 4 month old baby/stay at home mama depending on every cent I make. When I go to shoot competitions I plan on getting RIS3, and put an arca rail on the bottom of it. I can swap the rails in a few minutes and I will have a slick rail with ARCA that will allow me to get in and out of positions a lot easier, without having all the extra weight and bulk of the flashlight, irons, grips, etc I have on the ris2. So it will save me a lot of weight and time. My only advice to anyone looking to get into shooting and AR’s is I hope you are patient and I hope you know how much money this crap costs! I live by the buy once cry once mentality, but that also means you have to wait and be patient. My current setup has cost over 6k and taken 7 years to get and I still have a red dot I need to get to piggyback my nightforce optic, a dead air sandman s, ADM QD Harris bipod mount, and a KAC m4 folding front to replace my dd fixed front iron before I will call it finished.

RISIII is probably the most beautiful M-Lok Rail I have seen so far... but it is still M-Lok and I hate it. QuadRail... that is the way

I have a peq15 on my ar, but it doesn’t hold zero it seems , I only run a peq if my holosun 512c goes down I don’t plan on running night vision any advice on the peq15? Or the use of one in general?

I wouldn’t run one if you don’t use night vision. ESP if it doesn’t hold zero. I only have one because it was a gift and I want to see how it holds up. But I would probably prefer backup irons over the laser for everyday shooting
