I'm genuinely in awe at how much quality was put into this game and the music in it. Every theme I've heard so far is beautiful, and the gameplay is surprisingly clever and self-aware for a game starring ponies. If Hasbro weren't such corporate jackoffs, we'd have a game to remember right here. Until that day comes, I'll just have to listen to what could've been.

I think they were actually going to allow it, IIRC they were actually impressed, and were curious to see how things developed. But Mane6 had a tournament for charity, and even though it was for charity, there was technically profit made, so they had to C&D the project.

Rarity used to be my least favorite, too. I love all of the mane 6, but I like some more than others. But, Tommy Oliver appears to have changed my view of her when he looked over Suited For Success ("Why Suited For Success is the BEST MLP Episode"), having me gain respect for her. As myself being a sort of an artist as well, I sort of connect to this episode. If you haven't already, I gently suggest you looking at Tommy Oliver's video of Suited For Success look-over. You don't have to, though.

At 0:06 a new drum beat is added. At 0:14 a new synth sound is added. At 0:20 another synth sound is added, etc. The melody doesn't really become different until 0:26. Then, that continues for a while.

I don't think all is lost quite yet, so long as the music and other elements of the scrapped project are still floating around. Having been forced to discontinue work on the game, I hear the developers are working with another title instead . . . but with the same engine. I don't think I can muster the same enthusiasm for said game, but it could be moded and re-ponified by someone.

I agree with you whole-heartedly. They probably would've escaped unnoticed if they weren't so public though. I've heard it's just the laws and Hasbro being forced to react to fears of people 'mis-representing' their characters. I can understand but they shouldn't really feel the need to stamp out our projects.
