Baast has a thing for Discord and sees Fluttershy as a threat to a potential relationship. I had to look up Anubis and Baast just to see what they were about. Baast is basically an Egyptian Goddess version of Discord. Baast is Goddess of War, Joy, Music and Dance. So she is pretty chaotic herself which would explain why Baast and Discord like each other so much. Anubis is the God of the Dead and was apparently corrupted like Luna in this comic. So much Fanfiction gold right now.

the cat colors clearly show that they are cat versions of the mane 6 too. and Baast is Twilight in this case. weird hint that Twilight would have an interest in Discord.. I would have liked to see RA, the sun god. Celestia in this comic tho and maybe #kek hahaha

Far Altright I’ve come to the head cannon that the reason Discord is always touching Twilight in particular is because she reminds him of Bast, who does seem to have had something with Discord, and makes a lot of those interactions surprisingly depressing

I thought I just felt a tremor. The quake seems to have been set off by a DisneyFanatic2364 exposed to hints of canon fluttercord causing a very dangerous reaction. Luckily, I must be very far from the epicentre, but I think I should insure my house just in case fluttercord actually *BECOMES* canon, just in case! :D

Headcanon: The Nightmare Force originally used Anubis as its host. Those cats created the Elements of Harmony based on Sweetie Bell's info, and defeated him/it. The Nightmare Force later returned and claimed Luna as it's new host.

But wait just a minute.... In Keep Calm And Flutter On, we find out that Discord never had any friends until Fluttershy came along.. Does this mean he was lieing about this? Because Discord in this comic says that Hubert the butter dragon was his friend BEFORE Fluttershy.

I think that *now* Discord considers him "a friend" and said it, but I don't think he would've at all years ago if he knew him. That he was a team mate of sorts(or likely a mooch) to King Anubis and a positive destructive bond with Baast are interesting (perhaps, again him not treating her like a friend or even a loved one, but having a sensual relationship with her.) Or maybe she was just more attached lol. But his character development would help him see those things!
