In the past few weeks I've been working on these redesigns :D I know the concept is not that original, but I hope you all like them anyway!!
My main idea was to keep their most iconic design aspects, but twist them to fit my own style!

I also love how Twilight and Rarity look like they should be standing next to eachother lol. Then apolejack and rainbow dash look like they are fighting against changelings or something. Then pinkie pie and flutter shy look like they are taking a photo together XD (Makes sense when you see the very end of the video)

I honestly love how you made Twilight and Rarity look more like eastern unicorns. They're gorgeous! As well as the shorter manes for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. In a logical sense they'd have shorter manes so flying would be easier on them. Love it!

I absolutely love all of the redesigns in this video but pinkie's design got me thinking that it's not gonna fit very well in the show if it was implemented because we know her backstory that she was born on a "rock farm" and she was pretty boring like the rest of her family but then she found her cutie mark and her hair puffed up soo I have no idea how she would look boring (in the rock farm cutscene) so, other than that I really like her design she looks really bubbly Edit:- also I forgot to mention that I want pinklemina of this redesign plzz

Love how you didn’t give twilight wings. I personally think she was a way better character when she was just a normal unicorn. It made her more special, but when she turned into a princess all that special magic went away

I like the idea of pinkie pie being a pegasus and Twi being an earth pony as it would be interesting how they would solve their problems without the use of highly powered magic but instead with a more well thought out ways of defeating someone or accomplishing something and pinkie would be good as Pegasus because it suits her bouncy personality

RoKo! True, I agree!! Although I do have some “issues” with the G5 designs, mainly with Flutters being a unicorn: her original arc of being a pegasus that’s a terrible flier would be completely gone, including her cutiemark origin story. The race and her falling to the earth would never have happened, so how would her friendship with the animals begin like that? Of course there’s more ways to do it, but I feel like a very important character aspect would be lost. When it comes to Twilight, her not having a horn is a bit double-sided for me. On one hand, like you mentioned, it would be interesting to see how she’d solve her problems without magic, but on the other hand... Magic is what she IS. She lives and breathes it. Her magic skills are what make her unique. Her magic is what got her to be Celestia’s student, and then to her friends. Idk, it would be interesting to see what they’d come up with, but again, I feel like it would take away an aspect of her that is SO important... i guess I’m just curious to see where they’re gonna go with G5 is what I’m saying LMAO

TheMessyFangirl I see where you’re coming from but I’m pretty sure they said something that the back stories of the characters would change but the personalities and stuff would be the same as I think the G5 is just gonna start over with the characters like what they did in G4 where it’s a restart of the ponies from G3 but with a few more characters added in of course so they probably changed the designs because of them changing stuff like back stories and such

her dad is australian and her mother I think is uhh british? I can't tell the accent that her mother has edit: rarity's accent is transatlantic/mid-atlantic which is a mix of american and british english, so... rarity is not asian.

Ya Like Jazz? That’s super sweet! To record my art I use Camtasia studio, but I got the license from my dad, so if you’rr looking for free software I can recommend OBS!
