The point in the end "The reason I bought this was because of the empty bottles.." this is EXACTLY why I am looking into a kegerator! Thank you for the knowledge

Very informative. Have you ever thought about a double tap tower?

Hello, Matt. I have a cheez freezer, and today Sunday morning, I was just looking at how to build a kegerator, but after seeing your video and hearing your advise to better looking into craigslist to buy a used kegerator, Well, right after your advise, even though did not finish yet to watch your video, I started looking on craigslist, and guess what? I found a kegerator, very cheap ($50.00), it was almost new, very good condition, even the 2.5 gal CO 2 tank, was almost full. I did buy it, I just finish with the cleaning, and I am very happy with that. Thank you for the advice.

Thats awesome! Good luck with it. You might want to look at the perlick nozzle on the video with money you saved it is well worth it.

Hi, Matt, yes I am looking for the Perlick 630SS o 650SS. But I don't know if I going to need a faucet shank or hex nut assembly with beer line. I may use the tower that came with the kegorator Nostalgia (not kegerator) or I may buy one tower for two or 3 faucets. Please advise. Thank you.

Thanks for this informative tour of a Kegerator. Like everything else each person has their own way of doing things, Micromatic says to tilt the glass but to insure you have at least an inch between the glass and the Tap nozzle. Heck I dunno, just saw it in their video. Cheers.

What a great tutorial, thank you for putting this together Matt!!!! I was looking for kegerators and prepared to spend over $1,000 for one. Will definitely take your advice. You just might have also changed my opinion on OSU fans LOL! Go Nittany Lions! Cheers my friend

I was with you until you said "Go Nittany Lions" LOL! There really isn't much to kegerators. I really like the Perlick tap that has no exposed parts to the air, it works so much better than the traditional taps. I've been using it for about 6 months now with no problems at all . Good luck and let me know when you post some videos so I can see your bar.

Great Video... Just started home brewing 6 months ago and need to move from bottling to keg system.. Located in Wisconsin but originally from Ohio... Your beer glass and plaque on wall makes reference to 'Lake'... High School? Even though I am a University of Wisconsin grad, still am a Buckeye, born & bred via Woody Hayes....lol Thanks for the tour of your bar setup, and great info on keg system!

Try running a longer draft line. My line was 4 feet. And it never flowed right. Upped it to 11.5 feet now I get a great pour no matter the style. And I regularly run both a stout and an American lite lager in the same fridge at the same time from the same regulator.

Great video! I only wish I had seen it a few weeks earlier. I am building a kegerator. Have a Danby mini-fridge sitting in the garage that a friend's son had used in college. Adding a collar between the door and the box to enlarge it. It will have 2 taps on a black iron pipe tower. I bought a Chinese made no-brand faucet for well under $30. When it arrived I found it was excellent quality, so I ordered a second one. After watching your video I see that this beautiful faucet has the problem you described. Will return the second one when it arrives. I see a "P" on your newer faucet. Is it a Perlick? Do you happen to know the model number? Thanks. -Gary

Yes it is a perlick. I think it is a 630? I've had it for almost a year now and it still works great!!
