@@ssd3303Training facilities do matter, South America is just an outlier as their culture is mental about football. Imagine what they could do with a higher population than Brazil but also 20x better facilities and a culture which includes football. They’d dominate and it wouldn’t even be close. They’d also commercialise it and change it from its European culture that made it good in the first place.

@@ssd3303 my point is that if they invest and have a culture that welcomes football (which they will if they invest in it), as well as a high population and the best training facilities it won’t even be close. Take the Olympics, they win every year because they have a culture that includes the olympics, best training facilities, and a high population. It’ll destroy the sports competitiveness. Completely agree. The loudest crowd doesn't necessarily have to do with the level of stakes in the game itself but of the emotional investment of the fans and I think that Portland fans, especially at that time were bonkers for the Timbers. I was starting to believe that shit, 😭 since in the previous two matches I have attended the Galaxy drew both times, 1-1 to the Rapids, and 2-2 with the Dynamo, (I mean they didn't lose but winning is better) and now I was even more pissed off because I thought I wasn't even going to see at least Galaxy score one fucken goal.
