When MLS got the Apple Money everybody thought that MLS would raise the salary cap to get better quality in the league but that didn’t happen. I guess MLS wants Messi to win the league first before increasing the salary cap. However, in the meantime we are stuck watching very low quality players and low quality MLS teams.

They should be playing in MLS first and then go to Europe but MLS salaries are very low and that’s why most of them go sit on the bench in Europe. MLS needs to increase the salary cap if they don’t significantly increase the salary cap next season, I predict MLS will be in a lot of trouble.

So what i am saying is the American soccer viewer has a lot of local options plus premier league, la liga and other global leagues. MLS has to improve the quality to be close in quality to the Premier League or La Liga or else Americans will continue to ignore MLS. MLS Apple deal has not increased its popularity locally. The Apple deal helped Globally. MLS has a lot of problems. I could go on and on. However, improving the quality in MLS is one way to fix some of these problems because Americans like to watch the best in any sport. As long as MLS continue to give off mediocre vibes, it will continue to struggle, meanwhile these other American soccer leagues are improving. It does not matter if they are women league or lower division. The key point is that they are improving and MLS is not.
