Apple/MLS might be fumbling the marketing. If you want the league to grow, you need more eye balls, attention, views. Social media (including KZbin) is a massive part of modern day marketing. ONE FC absolutely blew up because their clips and fights went viral on Facebook. And everything improved quality wise as they got more popular. Apple/MLS are thinking too much about short-term profits rather than long-term growth. They want you to buy the Apple season pass so they just give you breadcrumbs. They should create a KZbin creator partner program similar to what the NBA does, where “highlights/compilation” KZbinrs can freely use footage from MLS and create better compilations/highlights.

Apple/MLS too focused on short term profit instead of long term growth. They feed breadcrumbs because they want people to get the Apple season pass. It’s business but the wrong business move imo. How does Messi play in the league yet there’s a paywall to see him? I personally don’t mind paying if I want to watch more games but I’m sure a ton of potential new fans aren’t even bothering. They also need a KZbin creator program like the NBA, so content creators can freely use their clips and make highlights/compilations. It’s free marketing. Fortunately I can’t get fined for saying this because I’m not a player or coach.
