Im enjoying the healthy competition, I actually would not mind seeing some of the younger Querétaro players transferring over to the Union, they work hard and defend well like a Philadelphian. Side note. A microcosm in the game tonight between Philly and Querétaro was seeing the Union bring on a 19, 21 and 22 year old American players from the academy off the bench to help them in a win or go home match up, while Querétaro still had a 36 year old Pablo Barrera, who I remember playing for the Mexican National team....a decade ago! They also brought on that Number 10 , who I believe is Chilean and not Mexican. This shows how youth development is treated between these two teams. They differ significantly in their approach. It's why Philadelphia has former academy players suiting up in the Premier League, Bundesliga and will play Champions League games this year. The Philadelphia Union academy players have a path way to Europe. LIGA MX teams seem not to have such a clear pathway to minutes for youth players in their league , much less a pathway to Europe. This helps explain one facet of why at the National Team level .....we are starting to see a separation, one favoring the USMNT.

@@eberlazting You cannot trace a line on this camera angle as it's a perception based angle. The player closest to us seems to be way offsides when in reality, the reason why most Queretaro players didnt protest, was because the player was on the line with the winger, who was a few cm ahead.

@@frenchchicken2799 Yes, you can. You DO realize that there are lines on the field and if you use something like Paint you can copy and paste those lines, adjust it and confirm offside in 1 min. Im saying this as an spectator but VAR has the actual tech to draw lines on video, and again, same rule was used at another game and goal did not count

@@eberlazting Because of the angle elevation the line will not be as accurate as you think unless you do some sort of mathematical method like Trig, which it seems many of you have failed. The VAR always review goals and this one wasn't offsides because of the fact that the player was lined up with the winger and the ball was in front of him as they kicked it. What other game was this rule used in, in which it didnt count?

However I don’t think it’s corrupt but more about referee incompetence. They can’t handle being in front of the pressure from the American crowd. I think if the tournament was played in the two countries the decisions would be better for Liga MX. It’s the referee not being able to handle the pressure from the home crowd.
