It is a good league and I really enjoy it but the defense of pretty much every teams has become garbage over the years and the offense got way high to homegrown defender to keep it up. Salary cap is a part of the problem but there are others factor as well. This is why the league has a lot of score.

Riqui Puig doesn't get enough credit for what he does. Not only because of the 2 assists and his goal. His passes between the defensive lines are what gets every attack going. Simply just key for every build up

I feel when riqui does this type of “over playing” is when galaxy get in trouble, get turned over while in a bad shape, and get burned in transition. Riqui is best when he plays it quick and precise , trusts his other midfielders, and is higher up the pitch to finish plays off. Just my opinion. He often does get away with it tho.

Attention followed Puig when he dropped and left Reus with a nice gap to wait for the ball in. It seemed first half Reus and Riqui were experimenting with creating space. They repeatedly floated wide to pposite sidelines and then crashed back to center whenever Pec took on the fullback. It seemed like Long and others were there waiting to jam up the center and any cross. Second half Reus and Riqui started going straight up the middle, with Riqui dropping back and Reus staying high waiting to connect. Riqui would play Reus up field and then haul ass to take whatever space he saw as he booked upfield.

They can posses and pass you to death, they can play direct and get in behind, they can beat you on the counter attack, or they can come from behind and grind it out after looking poor. This team has everything it takes to lift MLS cup. Period.

Was at the game and had a blast. Puig has an insane work rate. When Puig and Reus really started clicking in the second half there was some pretty short passing sequences. Jalen Neal had a rough start dealing with Bouanga but after the 20 minutes mark, him and Yoshida were locking things up. I'd love to see Neal keep learning and get some time with the USMNT. Especially since Pochettino was a CB.

I still pray everyday he returns to Barcelona. This current Barcelona management would have been a good fit for him. There are not much midfielders with defence splitting through passes like him that can dribble at full speed running from defence to attack and his shooting too is magnificent

Even if my club was behind 78-0 in a match I would still be there watching the match. If I am gonna spend my hard earned money and time going to the match. I want to get my full money's worth. You never know what you're gonna miss at a match. Yes Real Madrid was going to beat Real Valladolid, but I'm glad I watched the whole match because I got to see Endrick's first goal. But more importantly, real fans support their club for 90 minutes no matter the score or how well the club is doing that year.
