can you do the same design on HFSS please ?

Sorry, my HFSS license had expired. The design can be imported into HFSS. If you need it, I can email it to you.

Hey, I keep getting an error message that says 'Maximum number of pulse widths simulated, solver stopped. Please note that the steady state criterion has not been met.' I am using the student version of cst and I see a lot of ripples in my S parameters. Any help is greatly appreciated.
@Fan-vk9gx5 жыл бұрын
There are should have enough space between the port and the 'first' discontinuity of the structure in simulation, otherwise it will give you an error in high possibility. But in practice, it is not a problem.

good work, but one thing i notice is that the mmWave ranges from 30-300 GHz while you are calling 15 GHz a mmWave in the title.

Simple question, how did you get the simulation animation at the start?
@paroperha3 жыл бұрын
I found out: You set up monitors in the simulation tab (E-field, at the frequencies 3, 5, 15). But its all... pixelated, low resolution? This might be because I am using the student edition.

Dear Fan, If the operating frequency is 28 GHz. Then by calculating radius according to the given equation is r= 1.150 mm. I am using Rogers RT 5880 (Lossy) substrate having epsilon 2.2 and height is 0.787 mm and t= 0.035 mm. The width calculated = 2.18 mm. Here is width of strip is greater than the radius. Please comment what should do now. Your response will be appreciated. Thank you

How can this resonator works for metal detection in drinking water...????
@Fan-vk9gx2 жыл бұрын
Sorry Danish, I don't get your point. Can you describe the application scenario with more details? If you want to check whether there is some metal power in a glass of water. You can measure the permittivity or permeability of the "sample". You also need to measure the permittivity or permeability of clean water. Next, you need to compare these two measurement results. If you wan to make sure which kink of metal are in the drink water, and the percentage of each metal, this ring resonant method might not be a good choice. We can discuss this later when I have more details about your application scenario. I have threes experience on materials characterization. Maybe I can give you a hint.
