Well in return when declare Bankruptcy, it can damage your own credit score which can be much more harder to get banks to give you money. People literally had to pay with their own property to be able to pay their own debts. But with in a contract with a business such as an apartment complexes it can get pretty messy. The contractor can actually sue a client for violating the rules of their agreement. ( Because of violation of not paying rent for a certain amount of time and/or leaving the residence much earlier than the lease expected, which in totally you can get a fee.) If the contractor has alot of evidence to back up their claim, they can sue the client for violating their agreement and sue for all their worth. Unless the client is able to give support of evidence towards their own claim.
