In my utmost humble opinion. “ True Martial Skill is equatable to death disguised in elegance” - Chinese proverb. Impeccably performed by both of you, truly beautiful to behold, and what truly displays the epitome of skill is your ability to maintain such control and still keep it composed/competent and be decisive with your contact but still negating any unnecessary damage/ injuries, especially when one utilizes 4oz mma gloves. As one does not need to hit with grievous impact as to be able to acknowledge the fact that one got hit when using smaller gloves, and also goes to show the no- ego mindset that you both implemented as to be able to learn and improve, and not having the goal to emit one another to the nearest hospital. An honor to be able to observe and learn from such peers as yourselves, and sincere appreciations for enabling all of us to learn and improve. Sincere regards. Fellow Martial Artist. Tom Framnes. Norway.

You are quite eloquent in your comments and I look forward to them each time. I love these proverbs. They reinforce beliefs I ponder over often. Reminds me that I’m on the right path. I thank you for adding your thoughts. Jeff not only brings out the best of me but he does take care of me. This care of one another helps keeps us in control and egos in check. Emphasis on helps. Sometimes we too can push the limits a bit. There’s always work to be done!

@@TheSurgeMMA Humble appreciations for your kind words, and the pleasure is all mine. I have this” Belief” that whenever one visits someone’s channel, it is a bit like visiting their home as an stranger/ guest, and it is very important to be able to convey and relate the appropriate notion as to properly display one’s intentions as well as letting the owner of the house know, that one is indeed grateful for said accommodating gesture, as not everyone is allowed to enter nor be further welcomed nor offered an repeat visit if the first impression becomes “ Skewed” this is also extremely valid/ pertinent when one is addressing an peer akin to yourself sir. 🙏🏻 I also believe this is even more relevant online( which is sadly lost on many) As most take it for granted that just because you are “Online” People can speak and address you as they see fit, which is an shame, as one’s words actually defines and portrays one’s intentions,” Words paints the picture of one’s soul” As it is our actions, written or spoken or enacted, that defines us. And the first impression, I believe sets the tone for further discourse or either shuts it down completely if it sows ill contempt. So indeed the pleasure and honor is mine, as I do not take for granted that you take out of your busy schedule and share with all of us, as where i live, the MMA scene is not as vast, and even if “ MMA” is becoming an household name worldwide, like with everything else, pristine quality is seldom, so I am always considering myself blessed when i am able to find channels akin to yours, as they are like an black pearl hidden among thousands of plain ones. Indeed there is always an higher mountain, and it’s very refreshing to be able to see how our journeys towards skill mastery interconnects on so many levels, even if we live as sojourners in different continents, our adversity’s and challenges as martial artists are indeed similar. Always look forward to your content sir, and just wanted to inform you, that your gym would be the first place I would go to the moment I’m able to visit Canada. Wish you a great and blessed day 🙏🏻.

I Love the light Sparring paste I feel this is how sparring should be it’s more safe this way and if u have a Fight coming up this is a great way of not getting hurt before ur Fight I recently been sparring at this lasted more often

I agree. This is the best way to try new things out without any negative consequences for failing. If we spar too hard, we can be reluctant to play the game or try new techniques/strategies out. Keep it playful. Keep it fun. Turn it up when needed before competition, but safety is always number 1
