Absolutely loved the interview with Fedor. I remember being mesmerized by him early in my MMA fandom
@EricCKeys3 жыл бұрын
Hes my HW GOAT but I was going to say that this interview was one of the worst lately. Seemed like it was Russian propaganda and barely spoke to his great career before he was fighting past his prime. Hes fighting Tim Johnson because hes American and Russia wants to see Fedor knockout an American.

Never alone. None of us are alone, even those passed, are not in the past. They're always actually.. somewhere ;) Focus is everything. We choose how to focus and what to focus on.. we don't know how our mind works but there is a lot of good research on how its generally going to be a momentum thing. Any fear chasing comes from ego detection. And then being open and honest with yourself.

I was introduced to this show through the fighter and the kid beef, I definitely entered with some bias in favor of Brendan… I unsubscribed to tfatk this morning and subscribed to this channel. The Reddit DM revelation and actually kinda ending up liking Ariel are what changed my mind. So anyways, you got a new viewer

This is good on you. I used to be a fan of Brendan Schaub and his podcast years ago but he began saying things that rubbed me the wrong way. The big one was when he talked about bullying his old college roommate then scoffed and made fun of a fan who sent them an email saying he didn’t agree with how Brendan handled that situation. That’s when I started wondering if anyone else felt if Brendan was truly a nice guy or just putting on a front, and found the TFATK subreddit that was full of video proof and comparison videos of Schaub being a douchebag. His beef is another loud and clear example of that and it’s quite revealing how almost no one came to his defense except for his intern and coworker, yet Ariel has legit fighters come out in support.

I was more of a boxing fan/not too deep into the UFC as I am now when 199 was a thing - the issue here is that a journalist dug up a confirmation about a poorly kept, semi-open secret? ...rock bands from the '70s planning reunion tours keep it under wraps better than Brock/UFC did.
@Zach-bt2ky3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that’s all. UFC wanted to control the way the information was released. I imagine it was their scapegoat to get rid of what Dana would consider a pesky and nosy thorn in their side. Ariel genuinely seemed like the only journalist willing to ask fighters and Dana difficult questions (which should be the journalist’s job), watch any press conference nowadays, all of the press just seem happy to be there.

He and John McCarthy have had their show for years now and it's hilarious how few subscribers they have to date. It's because Josh doesn't have the personality, originality, clever insight, or really anything that would make someone wanna listen to their opinions. If you wanna know what it's like to hear Josh talk on his show just go down to your closest sports bar and find some frat dude and ask him what he thinks about MMA and you have got yourself Josh Thompson show.
