Amazing episode. Every part of it. Ariel you and GC sold me on Bellator last week and so was looking for the Coker interview and hopefully he and you can continue to promote it on this show as it would be great to have a true competitor to UFC. Love Dern, card is weak but I trust she will carry it as well as some fun fights to make new names. All the guests and the slober knocker you laid down at the end was magnificent, the most electrifying promo in sports entertainment!

Having a true competitor to the UFC would be better for the fighters, but worse for the fans. It would be more like boxing, where the top talent is split between promoters who refuse to co-promote so the fans never get the fights they want.

The #1 complaint among boxing fans is having multiple competing promotions, because they rarely get to see the best fight each other in their prime, like Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. Each elite fighter spends most of their career dominating against lesser opponents associated with their promotion. Boxing has proven that having top talent split between promotions = not getting to see the “super fights” with the best talent against each other. Imagine having Mcgregor in UFC and Khabib in Bellator, and never getting to see that fight. It’s objectively a worse experience for fans, but much better for the fighters because there is more opportunity. We will already never get to see prime Patricio Pitbull or Douglas Lima against the top UFC fighters in their division, or Mighty Mouse vs Moreno/Figueredo.
