McGregor has said something similar to that too, they never felt sorry for themselves due to their situation, they didn't see poverty as a negative because when you do then it's already an excuse for why you couldn't make it. Fans are out here fighting each other over who wins when both these guys have already won and are teaching us. Mayweather actually mentioned something interesting to McGregor, "he'll end up back on welfare if he keeps spending, if you see my cars I OWN THEM". It's well known that McGregor rents a lot of the things he owns whilst Mayweather is knowing for paying them all off with cash. The reasons Athletes go broke is because they feel the pot of gold is endless and get majority of their property on loan, insurance, credit etc.. It becomes an issue when the money dries up, Mayweather is smart because he owns his property. The guy is a lot smarter than people give him credit for. You don't need to have swallowed a dictionary to be intelligent.

Let’s be really clear: Cutting from 164 lbs to 154 lbs will be incredibly easy for Conor McGregor. Only having 10 lbs to cut is an ideal situation, with the Irishman used to much larger cuts in the past to hit the 145 lbs limit. I’ve shadowed McGregor’s nutritionist, George Lockhart, on a number of occasions, and I’m privileged to be writing a book on weight cutting with him.
