man, i gotta say, that Ariel truly is one of the best interviewers i've ever had a chance to watch. not only he's always professional, he asks some really interesting questions and that's a rarety.. and Punk's invariably such a laid back guy, very interesting to listen to as well. gosh, that was a fantastic interview!

CM Punk always seems so untouchable with his agenda and opinions. While that is what I love about him it is also great to see him just be a guy and even gush a bit.

Punk is well versed in multiple styles of MMA, as well as Muay Thi and Taekwondo. He's just as credible to talk UFC than most non-fighters Ariel interviews, including Mr Segal.

Yup, and it's also hugely rumored to be a match at Wrestlemania. Although new info says Undertaker may not do WM this year :(. If he did, him and Cm Punk is a no brainer. They've at least discussed it behind the scenes at WWE.

CM Punk has achieved what he set himself as a goal and still is going strong. He is indeed no joke, being a Gracie BJJ black belt. If you can, please watch the Best In The World documentary at least. It will put it all into the right perspective.

I notice this too, but Punk only ever uses that conversation staller in interviews, never when cutting a promo in the ring. And there are a lot of components to talking besides just that. Overall, Punk is the best talker I have ever heard in pro wrestling. Austin, Piper, and Roberts are close (all of whom say "you know" in interviews as well), but Punk is the overall best.
@RankedShooter11 жыл бұрын
I give Punk his credit, he made people see what it means to come from somewhere like IWA Mid-South and all over the indy circuits to the Big Game and succeed like he has. Though, I think he is totally changed from what made him true from the beginning but he is making the best of it. I liked indy Punk better but I can deal with his current WWE status.

Very rarely do wrestlers come up with there own original moves. It's a fact of wrestling - the moves don't actually matter - it's the way you use them to excite the crowd that does. A wrestler can have the most amazing move set ever, but have crap matches if he doesn't have good psychology. CM Punk is a wrestler known for being able to pull a good match out of anyone... sort of like Jericho. I suggest you watch more of his matches before you judge.

Actually What i meant to say about Bookers was that some prefer Heels over Faces for example Dusty Rhodes. I think he ran with the nwo running into the ring for about 30 weeks straight just to build so much heat that a face could win and it'd be amazing( Sting )

When a promoter publicly declares something will never happen, it's often because they're building "the match you thought you'd never see". Triumphant returns are money, especially with the right video packaging.

I haven't watched wrestling in 6 years but I use to be obsessed with it and what people have to realize is that wrestling is entertainment. It's funny and it's physical. Just because there's a pre-determined outcome does not mean that it's, in every way, "fake". CM Punk (although I do not know much about him as a wrestler since I stopped watching it while he was just coming up in Vince McMahon's absurd take on ECW) is no joke. He does Jui-jitsu and grew up taking martial arts. He's the real deal

You're talking sense. I understand what you're saying and I'm a pro wrestling fan too. You can't talk about something scripted (wwe title) as seriously as you would about the ufc welterweight title, for instance. However, Punk still has to remain loyal to his business and promote it, despite the fact that its scripted and I respect Ariel for helping him do that.

The winner is predetermined.. The skills are, in-ring work, moves being crisp and tight, making it look real without hurting the opponent, making the opponents moves look good, talking and selling your match, having charisma and the "IT" factor.. It's not as much about skill-set.. The competition is to have the best match of the night or best 'promo' of the night.. Yes, some are better than others.. They work together but, they get hurt and have a DEMANDING schedule. 300+ days a year on the road

In a single match, this isn't true. Its the work schedule that kills (literally sometimes) wrestlers and I completely agree that wrestlers deserve the respect. However don't be dismissive of the toll of MMA. Repeat head trauma also does massive damage to people and wrestlers nowadays (with no chair shots to the head) tend to avoid it. Both have terrible consequences. I'm thankful to all the guys who lay their bodies on the line.

a grown man will not make such childish comment. a grown man already knows the E is entertainment while MMA is legitimate combat sport. if you hate pro wrestlin, dont watch action movies. they are the same thing. come back for a more mature comment when you turn 15, thank you.

Wrestling and MMA are very similar, I don't understand how people are just realizing this now. The only difference is what goes on in the Ring/Cage. Both are brutal sports and neither are easy or "Fake", I'm glad King Mo is doing Wrestling and realises just how hard it is on your body. Maybe the trolls will understand how brutal Wrestling is now that an MMA guy is trying it. Even though it's been happening for years now.
