That's what struck me too. Charles has been incredible at avoiding GnP. Lee, Poirier, Chandler, Islam and Beneil weren't able to land any damage when they had top control. The fact Arman could do it in rd2 was impressive, he studied Oliveira very well.

Arman actually offers up a really good opponent for Islam because the champ has shifted his style into a more Muay-Thai approach. Islam doesn't want to face a freestyle wrestler with cardio like Arman. Islam actually prefers to fight against high-level BJJ artists because his sambo face destroys any active guard. I am not saying Arman would win but the wrestling cardio needed to beat Islam would be there. Furthermore, the Thai clench wouldn't work so well against the wrestler in Arman. Charles was terrible though. It's as if he believed he would sub Arman. He didn't employ any kicks, any knees, didn't even fight in the clench but then again, he was afraid of the ground and pound from Arman.
