"A good Bad Guy" is really the perfect description of Fulton Reed. Without the Ducks and without hockey he'd have fallen into some street-fighting or gang-related activity for sure. Even in the movies he encourages the other Ducks to do delinquent things.

Well, I guess that might've happened in D3 when Charlie and Fulton leave the Eden Hall Academy. Fulton eventually decided he might not want to play hockey for the rest of his life either, after Charlie proposed going back to public schools and pursuing hockey careers. He did suggest Charlie rejoin the Ducks, to which Charlie refused, but what would've happened if Fulton didn't decide to let it play by ear nor return to Eden Hall and rejoin the Ducks?

So three of those actors returned to their roles on The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, another one expressed interest to appear on the show, but the other is likely to be blacklisted and wouldn't appear in ANYTHING for his "stupid cake-eating tricks" with "taking the fall at hurt" just because he didn't want to lose his role on Empire.
