It's probably bc of their hair color, they can't put a purple cat for Mafuyu but they can make it a black cat. Mizuki's fur has a pinkish undertone similar to her hair, Ena's is brown, Kade is white with blue undertones, and Meiko's is her hair color but slightly lighter (probably to not make her copy Ena's)

here you go= it’s a song in project sekai (a rhythm game) and this is the music video that plays in the background while you play the song. Obv they aren’t cats in it, but they resemble the actual members of the group this song is made by. The white cat with pink eyes that’s the main singer=Mizuki Akiyama. The black cat with purple eyes=Mafuyu Asahina. The brown cat with gold eyes (not the orange cat)=Ena shinonome. The white cat with blue eyes= Kanade Yoisake (i forgor how to spell her last name) The orange cat = i forgor who they were, they sound like miku but i don’t play this song enough to know. Because it’s orange i would guess MEIKO or Kagamine Rin?
