It's a pretty sexual song, but there's also a more innocent side to it From what I can glean from both lyrics and what others have said: The singer is a little on the younger side (assumedly high school aged, at least I hope so) and falls in love with an older boy who her parents do not approve of her dating - hence the Romeo part of the title. There could also be some referrence to the age difference between Romeo and Juliet as Juliet was only thirteen compared to Romeo who was seventeen. The singer compares her situation to Juliet's, but does not want a tragic ending to her story like her and instead wishes for a happy one like Cinderella. Throughout the story, the singer lies constantly to her parents to hide the fact that despite their negative views on the relationship, she continues to see her "Romeo" in secret and doesn't realise until toward the end of the song that her lies will eventually catch up to her and are threatening to do so already, so she asks for her "Romeo" to come and save her before she is "eaten by the wolf" (Possibly meant to signify her parents taking drastic measures or at the very least all her lies catching up to her). The girl, instead of trying to understand her parents and being dramatic, believes that her story is like Romeo and Juliet but wants a happy end like Cinderella. All the lovey dovey teens could have done is wait for the girl to grow up till she's mature enough to date but nooo, gotta be dramatic.

@@DefiniteIyHuman I'm not sure about dramatic, but she certainly is going against them yes. The singer is being young and making a mistake that she will ultimately learn from in the future. Seeing as there are already a lot of references to Romeo and Juliet, it's highly likely that in denying her their permission to be with him, her parents aren't doing much to help so much as add fuel to the fire due to the Romeo and Juliet effect - when a parental figure's disapproval only serving to intensify their feelings rather than quell them. Though I suppose if you want to see it that way, you're not wrong. I respect that, everyone can interpret it differently.
