Standard deviation is Square root of Variance hence 72-68.22/Square root of 10.8

Madam Q No. 2 at time 12:37 you have mistakenly considered the value of variance given in question as standard deviation. SD=(Variance)^1/2

10.8 is variance. You have to take it's square root to find the standard deviation. And divide using it to find z score.

There are different types of correlation coefficient. I have explained is the pearson coefficient. The formula changes based on which correlation coefficient method you are choosing. Even in pearson coefficient formula as well, we have tge direct method which i have explained as well as an indirect (short cut method) is used. I personally felt the straightforward calculation using x and y variables to be better. You can use any method you find convienient. Final aim is to get the right answer - that is what is the strength of the correlation
