I watched this waaay back in 2016 (it was awesome) and again in 2018 (still awesome). Now, I came here just to cry. The best highlight of the arc is when they finally met and did a very samurai-like greeting as a sign of gratitude, respect and honor for each other, themselves, and their friends.

It’s the fact that Pirako constantly did that same greeting throughout the arc but finally at the end she does it not as Pirako the samurai but as Pirako jirocho’s daughter. It’s also the first time we see Jirocho do the samurai greeting and he does it as her father too. She finally made him bloom like she said she would back in the beginning and it’s just so beautiful.

If I remember Sorachi said that making people cry is easy but making people laugh is the challenge he spent so much time making sure that the jokes are funny so he always ended up fighting and arguing with his editors due for him not making deadlines
