Eh, people will do just about anything to try and save their own skin. I've been in more than a few accidents where I wasn't at fault. Almost every single time the other driver outright lies or tries to lie later in court. It's the whole reason to get a dash cam. Now my question to you is; if people lie about small things where no one gets hurt. Why wouldn't they also lie when they are in serious trouble?
@daisychuju8944Ай бұрын
Blaming the victim is a common practice. Every time a person is killed by the police and is Brown or Black their history is brought up, troubled past, etc. If a homeless person is murdered or a person with mental health problems, same thing. It's horrible every time it happens. But this... this a special kind of wicked that I have not seen before. It is probably similar to other cases but to see a person so callous right after an accident is just gross.

@@tonyramos2559 At over 100 mph, it takes literal seconds to pass three football field lengths - as the video states. You are underestimating how fast 100mph is, especially from the turning vehicle's of view. The turning vehicle was perpendicular to road, and the road is pretty flat, thus it's very difficult if not impossible to determine that the oncoming vehicles were moving that fast. If the racing cars were going the posted limit, the turning vehicle would have had ample time to make the turn. All of that said, even if the terrain allowed more awareness and the turning car did fail to see, you still can't put any blame on them. They were driving legally, and not driving double the limit which is illegal. 100% of the blame goes on the 2 racing cars.

I am glad everyone was okay. It happens sometimes unfortunately for lack of better phrasing. I lost control of my car once when going 70 miles an hour on the highway. The road was wet and my tires were bad (I was dumb and didn't know they were, still at fault tho). I went through a sign, almost went into the opposing lane but was able to get my car to go opposite direction up a hill, and almost went into the guard rail. Luckily there was nobody near me when it happened (only one person was but they far enough behind me that they had plenty of time to react) so nobody was hurt. I remember my first thought was shock and being thankful that I wasn't hurt, and then the next was panic about what if I hit and hurt someone. I probably would have if I was going faster. I honestly still don't know how I got so lucky. I still feel guilt over that

@@ChristopherPhoenix-d1k legally they always consider the person in the back “at fault”. They always will say you should’ve left more space or been paying more attention, even if mechanical failure is involved in the incident.

She needs to be arrested. Something is wrong with her. Cops treated her with respect even when she was yelling at them.

15 years for being responsible for the death of 2 people it’s disgusting… Her brother and her should be locked away for a MINIMUM of 30 years. They should have their licenses revoked for 50 years. They should also have to pay $100,000 each, to each set of parents for restitution. ($400,000 total)

Nah. Permanent loss of license.

The system is a fraud. Both she and her brother should have been placed beneath the jail. Condolences to the families of the deceased.
