I loved this video the first time I saw it. Then I watched MNDR's other videos and realised that Raven is emulating Amanda Warner's look. It made me love this video even more. I really like how they showed David transforming into Raven and the parts where he is dancing whilst lip syncing. It made the song even more meaningful to me.

I don't know what that is, but if they play electronic stuff of MNDR-quality, it sounds leaps & bounds better than the shallow, faux-gangster "hip hop" and shitty, trashy radio pop at every workplace I've ever worked. I got here because this song plays at the store I work at, and if you're like me and had never heard of the song before, or knew what it was about. All you hear is, feed me Diamonds.. and well.. that sounds VERY strange!!!!! But now that I know what the story is about, it makes a bit more sense. But it's still a weird metaphor.. especially if you don't know whats going on. I thought it was about some crazy girl who wants to eat diamonds because she's rich.. but it has nothing to do with that at all.. lol.

Most do this as a means of performance. It's female impersonation. It's called dressing in "Drag" and Raven, who is a boy impersonating a female, is considered a Drag Queen. Females can impersonate males as well -- this is called a Drag King. Hope that helps :)
