Story: Chen dies. He is in the afterlife and the girl is like an angel that welcomes him. But Chen doesn't realize he is dead. Then the 2 men came and walk right through Chen, that's when Chen realizes he is indeed dead. Chen feels somewhat betrayed by the girl because she didn't say anything about him being dead and he fell for her, so it's super heartbreaking for him. So she let him go and back to the land of the living. He then realizes he loves her and want to be with her so he runs and look for the place he was with her. But in the end he couldn't, but She is still his number 1.

Since I saw some asking about the plot, here's my take: Chen gets hit by a car & he wakes up in limbo w/his past/dead gf there. (That's why he's not freaking out about waking up in some random place w/some random girl. In addition to the way he looks at her w/love/sadness). They happily spend their time together and then she shows him the alley. Above the door they walk out, the neon sign says 'GATE' and then you see 'HEAVEN'. Chen doesn't realize the significance of the area until the men had walked through them and he realizes that she's showing him the path to heaven/dying. She was thinking that he would be happy to be together again, but when he reacted the way he did, she realizes that he wasn't ready to die hence letting him go in the end and he walks away from 'HEAVEN' (back to the living world). He later returns to the alley but of course it/she doesn't exist for him anymore.

S'exactly my take on the plot. Almost. I don't think it's that she realized he wasn't ready to die/go to Heaven. It looked more like he realized he was in limbo... and he decided he didn't want to die; like he wasn't ready to go yet. Since there's that bit where she reached out to him and he backed away. So in the end, he lives but misses her and regrets his decision because (for now?) he can't be with her.
