Now this is where you can actually comment *"Legends Only"* Cuz as much as one may love their favs of the 3rd Generation (I myself am primarily an ARMY & Monbebe) it's a fact that what these guys have achieved is the real 'Legend' status. Don't get me wrong, new idols are very very talented as well, but that's just cringey when a group that's barely been out there is called a legend.

the term Legend is very subjective. I would call legend for example to Michael jackson or freddy mercury or the beatles. I don´t have a problem when other fans call legend to their groups because that their opinion altough I´m not very fond of the term. TVXQ are really talented but I don´t think that my group had to reach their status because only TXVQ can be in TVXQ place. I respect the second generation but I don´t have the mentality they are superior than my group neither that my group are superior to them.

I think the term "Legend" was given to them because they are the first Korean idol group that bring Kpop to other countries (Japan & Chinese). They came to Japan and stay there for a few years without knowing Japanese, and no one know about them, basically they had started from beginning again in Japan while they were so popular in Korea. Hence, that become the very 1st step helping Kpop become a global phenomenon. Not to mention, TVXQ made it in the Guinness World Record Book following the one in 2008 for having the largest official fan club. Cassiopeia, the male band’s official fan club claimed of having more than 800 thousand members. Michael Jackson is Legend because of what he achieved in USA, but you can't denied TVXQ achievements at all when it come to Kpop.

Maaaaannnn. I just came from a long hiatus of TVXQ. Iam their old fan when they were 5. And stopped following them by 2009 bcos i was focusing on my study. Then I heard 3 of them out. I thought tvxq would be no more interesting. But LOOK AT THIS. WOW! ONLY 2 BUT THEY HANDLE EVERYTHING. Charisma and vocals are even GREATER

I was focusing on my studies as well as being so frustrated over them splitting. My bias was U-know, but I know his vocal limit back then, and I was not so fond of CM's vocal before. I underestimated them and thought how they were gonna survive without the 3.. 😭 I miss TVXQ recently after 12 years and went to their old videos and concerts, and just noticed how far U-know and CM has progressed and improved so freaking much I'm so proud of them, especially YunHo vocal abilities, and CM voice has became so powerful and stable..so proud and thankful for them for staying and endured the pain hardships of splitting.. they're truly living legends🥲🥲

Jaejoong is still very active with his work but it seem like he tours a lot in Japan mostly. I follow him on instagram, he's so cute it's jj_1986_jj the other two members i'm not sure about.

Junsu is still doing his military service, but before he enlisted, he was very active in musicals and work as a solo artist. Yoochun got out of the military in August, I believe, and has been laying low since then, but is about to have a concert tour in Japan this May. Of course, they are all still officially members of JYJ, but because of military service, from spring 2015 to November 2018, there will not be a time they can all get together.
