Also an old k-pop stan myself, usually when I see a comment comparing SNSD to a rookie girl group, I tend to be pretty triggered by it, but this comment does not upset me. Only thing that might work against them is that they don't have a Taeyeon (or even Sica) level vocalist, but they have a sound and feel that completely belongs to them. :)

Honestly speaking, who is doing it like Loona? I got goosebumps from the sharpness and artistic nature of the choreography. They made such amazing use of their number to make beautiful formations. And not to mention stage presence?! Every single girl captivates the camera, they all stand out as individuals but simultaneously form a cohesive unit. They’re just wonderful to watch. Fan theory: LOONA was well on the way to getting this good even during the Hi High era but because of the concept (plus BBC taking a "safe" route), they couldn't do anything like this. Proof? Watch their cover of Seventeen's Thanks. That's the dance of theirs that shows the most similar elements to their choreo here but is of course much more lowkey since they only did it for a variety show.

This choreo honestly just transcends the bg vs gg choreo discussion. I can’t imagine a bg nor a gg nail it the way they have. It screams LOONA and I’m so proud of them Edit: like at first I got some bg choreo vibes and I’m not the only one looking at the comments, but the more I watched the performance the more I started disagreeing with my initial point n realized no one could do it like them really. Butterfly’s concept, production, and choreography are all so beautiful and unique. Loona is a group unlike any other the industry has seen and rather than celebrate and promote this amazing group, it seems many are wanting to hold them back. It just shows how highly these people and companies think of loona to feel so threatened by them. But this will only inspire orbits to fight even harder for the girls. This is only the beginning. Orbits will always love; support, and promote loona even when the industry is doing everything it can to bring them down
