In this Nov 2, 2022 program for the Montana Native Plant Society, Tim Wheeler shares an introduction to the larger fungi of Montana. His presentation provides an intro to macrofungi in general, with a focus on the diversity and interesting species found in the state. Tim is a geologist, mycologist, lichenologist and photographer who works at the University of Montana as a research technician, focusing on the genetics and genomics of the tree of life. He has been studying the fungi of Montana for 20 years, is a coauthor of Montana Lichens: An annotated checklist, and is currently working on the checklist of unlichenized fungi for the state.
