They should have played the extended replays. Shot 1: Howard was going the other direction and he had to switch his momentum. Shot 2: Howard blocked it with his hand and then his feet to stop it from going in.

To be fair though, Real Madrid and Spain National team defenses are quite a bit better than the U.S back line. Casillas has higher quality protection in front of him. Still two top class Goalkeepers though.

absolutely wrong. do you have any idea how difficult it is to fully commit to a strike, find a way to plant, and change direction to get back across the goal successfully? because I do. you're more likely to save a penalty than make that type of a save. Solo's save was outstanding in it's own right, but it's not even on the same level as those two.
