Pac was more of a national icon that local icon. Cali natives were slappin E-40 and B-Legit and Mac Dre and Andre Nickatina more so than Tupac. Of course we love us some Tupac. Don't misunderstand, I get your point. The pimp was an icon. I would equate him to The Mac for the west coast, Mac Dre and Pimp C RIP.

You're way off. You cant compare Pimp C to Mac Dre. Ridin' Dirty is a CLASSIC. 90% of all the top rappers today ON ALL COAST were jamming UGK in the 90's. Pimp C literally breathe life into ASAP Rocky, T.I., Lil Wayne. He's a rap GOD. Who the fuck did Mac Dre ever influence? Don't play yourself.
