Monique has been very clear and open about the fact she was not a good mother to Shalon. Her focus was on her career and not being a mother. Nothing she has said publicly contradicts what he said. There is no square off. She also credits the breakdown of their relationship as to why she has emphasized being a good mother to the children she had after. No one can confirm someone else's feelings only what we feel based on our experience with that person. I pray they can mend.

@@dwisdomNYC I empathize with him because I have the same experience with my father but we as adults have to let them know what that looks like for us as adults. How we'd like the support. that's even when it is a parent who's been in your life because sometimes you have to set boundaries lol. I question it being genuine because when it seemed his mother was down and out we didn't see him. He's been mentioned in more detail in multiple interviews, so I'm sorry this looks funny.

Monique's husband aka "Daddy" is so manipulative and condescending. It breaks my heart how Monique handled this situation with her first born son. However, I'm not surprised at Monique and her Daddy's reaction because this is why no one paid attention to her concerns in Hollywood. Monique is not the only woman of color that has experienced Hollywood the way she has. I wish she loved herself enough to step away from the shadow of Daddy and heal from her past trauma and heal her relationship with her son. My prayers go out to Shalon and Monique.🙏💜
