I absolutely love my Slate subscription and don't see myself ever getting rid of it BUT... With these kind of plugins (same with Fresh Air) it's really dangerous to get carried away with the volume increase, I recommend everyone to experiment with the trimpot to evaluate the real sonic differences without misleading volume increase. It's very easy to go over the top because louder almost always sounds better...

Maybe it's better to make VMR3.0? With parallel processing chain, make a "stereo link" button for old compressors. Make a Neve compressor, Pultec eqp1 s3, SSL 4k e EQ and compressor. Make a real crosstalk between VMR copies. After all at least for me Slate digital was always been an emulation of real gears, which was convenient to use.

why am i getting pink noise generated when i put on my master fader? it goes away when i open preset.

The upward compression could be pulling up some noise from some other plugin.
