Hello. I have one question. If I say a phrase with an object, like わたしはりんごをたべます, could you answer わたしもりんごをたべます or わたしはりんごもたべます ? Do these 2 phrases mean the same thing?
@KenseiSensei3 жыл бұрын
Those two actually have different meanings. With わたしもりんごをたべます, the inclusive particle も is applied to わたし. In other words, the sentence is saying "I too, eat apples". It implies that within a group of people, he/she also eats apples (just like the others). However with わたしはりんごもたべます, the inclusive particle is applied to the object, りんご. This means that the sentence is saying, "I eat apples too (amongst other fruits)". In short, the placement of the inclusive particle will determine which group you are including that subject/object to in a given sentence.

1. My friend stole a ball. 2. 私のははも日本人です。 これビデオがいいでした。質問をあります。(I’m trying to use Japanese more often, please correct me if I made any mistakes.) Sometimes , the を particle is pronounced as “お”. Why is that so?
@KenseiSensei4 жыл бұрын
Your answers are correct! And yes the sentence particle を can sound like お but there isn't necessarily a proper distinction between pronouncing the particle as "wo" or "o". However, I do believe the particle only sounds like "o" at times just because it's easier to pronounce when speaking.

Is を pronounced as "Wo" or "O"
@KenseiSensei4 жыл бұрын
In theory, it's closer to "wo" but the reason why it sounds like o as well is because the "w" is not strongly pronounced in を. "O" in Japanese is お.

not reading any comments before posting. I hope this is right ( I know the video is 1yo and might not get an answer but that’s ok:) ), also I changed Nihongo with Italian as if I was talking about my mother :) 私のははもイタリャ人です (can mother be written in hiragana? ) I saw this is the kanji word 母
